Cruise Terms and Conditions
By making a booking with Shoalhaven River Cruise, you warrant that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them subject to such changes as are notified to you from time to time. If the booking is made through a third party, the terms and conditions of that third party also apply.
Conditions of Travel and Booking
In these conditions “Shoalhaven River Cruise” means Shoalhaven River Cruise, its servants and agents and “the passenger” means the passenger booked to travel. Travel via Gift Voucher must be completed within 3 years of payment. These conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and any Australian State. The Company reserves the right to cancel, vary this service in any way, or substitute any ferry or other means of transport without incurring any liability.
Shoalhaven River Cruises will endeavor to provide scheduled or private charter cruises but reserves the right to refuse requests for bookings or actual bookings due to insufficient or excessive numbers of requests. All cruises are subject to availability, minimum participation requirements & prevailing weather conditions at the time of operation. A cruise may be cancelled up to the time of departure if it is the opinion of the tour operator that weather or any other conditions are such that it would be unsafe to conduct the tour. A gift voucher or full refund will be applicable in this event.
Fares, times, schedules and routes are subject to alteration, without prior notice, at the discretion of the Shoalhaven River Cruise. Shoalhaven River Cruise shall not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise in the event of cancellation of this service or the abandonment of the service during the course thereof (should Shoalhaven River Cruise or any of its servants or agents decide that such abandonment is necessary) or of any deviation or delay in any service arising from any cause whatsoever. In any such event Shoalhaven River Cruise will not be liable in any way for consequential damage including, but not limited to, the cost of accommodation or for an alternative means of travel which may arise and any additional expense so arising shall be the liability of the passenger
Shoalhaven River Cruise accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to, any belongings being carried for the passenger, or for consequential damages arising therefrom whether sustained during off-loading or transportation, and whether arising from negligence, malfunction of the vessel or other cause, except to the extent that the exclusion of such liability is prohibited by law. Shoalhaven River Cruise accepts no responsibility for any injury and/or death of a passenger traveling on this service whether caused by negligence, malfunction to the vessel or other cause except to the extent that exclusion of such liability is prohibited by law.
All fares and prices are in Australian Dollars and are subject to availability, surcharges, blackout periods and seasonal variations. Always check your travel documentation for final prices.
Children 5-15 years are entitled to Child fares with Shoalhaven River Cruise. Children 4 years and under are classified as infants and travel free (maximum of 1 infant per paying adult). Infants are not guaranteed a seat and infant tickets shall not include meals, where applicable. An additional charge will be incurred for infants to be served a meal during lunch/dinner cruises. Shoalhaven River Cruise offers Concession prices for Australian Seniors Pension Card holders and Veterans Affair Pension Card Holders. These Pension cards are required to be presented at the time of boarding to confirm eligibility.
All Shoalhaven River Cruise bookings made online require full payment at the time of reservation. By providing credit card details you warrant that you have the authority to use the credit card and you authorise Shoalhaven River Cruises to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card.
Group Bookings and Private Charters
To make a group booking, a deposit of 10% is required within 7 days of booking. If the booking is made within 14 days of the scheduled date of cruise, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
Final payment is required within 14 days prior to scheduled date of cruise.
Payments can be made via the Shoalhaven River Cruise website, through our secure portal. Payments can also be made prior to boarding a scheduled cruise, available payment options include cash, direct debit (to be cleared prior to departure date/time) cheque & credit card.
Cancellations by Shoalhaven River Cruise
In the event that Shoalhaven River Cruise, or a third party operator, cancels a cruise prior to the scheduled date then all monies paid for your booking will be refunded in full within 14 days of the date of cancellation.
In the event that Shoalhaven River Cruise, or a third party operator, cancel or abandon a cruise on the scheduled date then you will be eligible for a Gift Voucher, equal to the cost of the canceled/abandoned cruise, or a full refund within 14 days of the date of cancellation/abandonment.
The liability of Shoalhaven River Cruise arising from any cancellations of cruise bookings by Shoalhaven River Cruise or a third party tour operator is limited to the amount paid for the cancelled booking.
Cancellation by Customer
If you need to cancel a booking then the following Cancellation fees apply:
Cancellation fees for Shoalhaven River Cruise ‘scheduled’ cruises are as follows:
- 72 hours or more notice prior to booked cruise start time: Nil
- Less than 72 hours prior to scheduled start time: 10% of the ticket price of
Cancellation fees for Shoalhaven River Cruise ‘group booking’ or ‘private charter’ cruises are as follows:
- 7 days or more prior to booked cruise start time: Nil
- Less than 7 days prior to scheduled start time: 10% of total price of booked cruise.
Where a deposit has been paid:
- and the amount of the deposit is more than the cancellation fee then the cancellation fee will be deducted from the deposit and the balance of the deposit will be refunded.

No refund will be given for any unused services or non-arrival.
We understand that sometimes there is a requirement to amend a current booking. We ask that you contact us directly by calling 0429 981 007 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your requirements. While we do not offer a refund if you amend your booking we can transfer your booking to a future dated cruise of equal value.
Redemption of gift vouchers is subject to Shoalhaven River Cruise standard terms & conditions. Gift vouchers are valid for any Shoalhaven River Cruise product. Vouchers can be used as part-payment for a higher priced cruise with the balance due prior to cruise departure. Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue and no fare restrictions or block out dates apply.
Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
Licenced Bar and Alcohol Consumption
Shoalhaven River Cruise offers a licensed bar on most cruise options and is committed to the responsible service and consumption of alcohol. Our Alcohol Policy includes:
- Any Passenger or Patron that arrives for a cruise and is believed to be intoxicated will be refused access to the vessel
- Alcohol is only to be consumed whilst onboard the vessel
- Alcohol will not be served to any person who is believed to be intoxicated
- No alcohol will be sold or supplied to a person aged under 18
- Staff will request proof of age of any person they believe to be aged under 18
- Shoalhaven River Cruise is a
licencedestablishment, therefore no BYO alcohol is allowed by law
