The Shoalhaven River is a fairly unknown waterway in NSW, considering
Our mission is to introduce as many people as possible to this beautiful part of the Shoalhaven.
Where did Shoalhaven River Cruise begin?
So you’re keen to find out more about us and what we do?
Well, we’re glad you stopped by. Shoalhaven River Cruise has been operating on the Shoalhaven River since 1996.
It was originally founded by Norm Shulz and a business partner, who provided the Christine J as the vessel. Norm and his partner ran the business until 2005 when Shoalhaven River Cruise was sold.
Norm has a long history in the Shoalhaven Region and a wealth of knowledge and information about the Shoalhaven River and the various features and attractions along its banks.
Norm is still one of our fantastic skippers for our cruises. We often say that Norm “came with the boat”. When you are onboard for one of our cruises, be sure to head into the wheelhouse and have a chat with Norm.
We are Tim and Jen, and we acquired Shoalhaven River Cruise in December 2017. We have plans to showcase the Shoalhaven River to even more visitors and locals alike. With an office like the Shoalhaven River, why wouldn’t we want to share it with you all?
A family owned and operated business, we offer passengers the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing cruise and view the amazing scenery along the banks of the Shoalhaven and Crookhaven Rivers.
We’d love to welcome you onboard the Shoalhaven Explorer with us and enjoy a cuppa, lunch or even a twilight cruise!
Our current vessel, the Shoalhaven Explorer, has been employed by Shoalhaven River Cruise since 2007. This vessel was built in 1991 and sports an aluminium catamaran hull – Which means it is a very stable vessel, allowing passengers to cruise the Shoalhaven River in comfort. With a carrying capacity of up to 58 passengers, the Shoalhaven Explorer is a multi-level vessel with different viewing platforms for our passengers to enjoy the sights.
Onboard the Shoalhaven Explorer, you will find tea and coffee facilities as well as a small kitchenette suitable for basic catering, including a gas stove.
We provide comfortable seating and tables on both the upper and lower decks, as well as seating on the Bow of the boat, for passengers to enjoy all of the viewing platforms.
There are also clean amenities and a licensed bar onboard.
Shoalhaven River Cruise has a variety of cruise options on offer to our passengers, as we cater for all your functions and events. Choose to cruise Upriver or Downriver, enjoy a morning tea or a meal onboard with us. Offering more than one cruise option we hope to see our passengers back onboard with us to enjoy even more of the Shoalhaven Rivers scenery and beauty.
